The Arizona Data Ecosystem
2014-Present
2014-Present
A few details
The concept developed by TSSW based on the opportunity we saw for data sharing across the many statewide projects in which we participate.
The AAE promotes participation in the preparation and use of statewide, authoritative datasets in order to reduce redundancy across state and local entities.
The Solution
TSSW is in the forefront of the development of the Arizona Address Ecosystem (AAE). The Arizona Address Ecosystem was created in close collaboration with the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) and the Arizona State Land Department (ASLD).
Applications co-developed by TSSW such as EMAP and AZGIV, form an important piece of the Arizona Address Ecosystem (AAE).
AAE applications encourage standardization and error correction of GIS data from the 15 Arizona counties, as well as crowdsourcing of address data.
With the recently announced new platform design for the State’s Geospatial Clearinghouse, AZGEO, the scope and importance of the AAE will only continue to grow.
Address locators created from statewide address point and road network datasets
have greatly improved geocoding accuracy compared to other commercially available geolocators.
These new geolocators have proven to be of great interest and use to agencies, departments,
jurisdiction and entities across the State of Arizona.
