The mission of TerraSystems Southwest (TSSW) is to assist organizations, both public and private sector, efficiently acquire and successfully apply GIS technology to enhance planning and decision-making processes. GIS is all we do. Our team of professionals has a wide range of experience, with over 50 years of combined GIS technical and managerial experience between the company’s principal Cheryl Thurman and other leadership. Since January 1st 2024 TSSW is recognized as a woman-owned small business as one of the founders and principals, Howard Ward, retired into a part-time Emeritus role in the company.
Since 1998, when the company was formed in Tucson, TSSW has successfully completed hundreds of GIS projects, ranging from strategic and implementation planning, through data conversion and project management, to the development of award-winning growth and economic development applications. TSSW is nationally recognized for our innovative use of technology, analytical methodologies and sharp attention to detail resulting in exceptional products and accomplished goals for our clients. Many of our clients have daily mapping needs. We become an extension of their staff, responding to mapping requests as defined by the client’s desired timeline, which is often immediately (2-4 hours) or in some cases, 24 hours. TSSW has a proven track record of responsiveness and dependability.
